Escale

Privacy policy

In one sentence

Escale collects nothing, because there is nobody to receive anything: the app has no account, no server, no ad network and no analytics tool.

Where your data lives

Your documents, trips and stays are stored on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, they replicate into your private iCloud database, to which the developer has no technical access. Photographs of documents you add follow the same path and never leave that set.

What leaves the device

Nothing, unless you decide otherwise: by sharing a record, a statement or an export, and choosing the recipient. Escale makes no network call of its own accord. The rule set for 118 countries is embedded in the app, which is what lets it work offline.

Links to official sites

The app offers links to the relevant authorities' portals. Opening them takes you out of Escale, into your browser, and the privacy policy of the site you visit applies from then on.

Advertising tracking

None. The app does not ask for tracking permission, loads no tracker and declares no tracking domain.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications, scheduled by the device from your own dates. No server is told of their content or of their existence.

Deletion

Deleting the app deletes the local data. Data replicated into your iCloud is managed from your device's iCloud settings, like that of any other app.

Your rights

Since the developer holds no data about you, there is nothing to disclose, correct or erase at their end. A complete export of your data, in readable text, is available at any time from the app, with no purchase required.
